FAQs

What is a round‑table?
A round‑table is an informal, discussion‑focused gathering where participants sit around a table or loose circle and share ideas, experiences, and resources on a common theme. There’s no pre-planned presentation or slides; instead, everyone is invited to contribute, and one or more facilitators with experience related to the topic help keep the conversation flowing.

We will also have two workshops which will be more structured offerings, with more details sent out closer to the date of the event.

What kind of things would I be expected to discuss?

In the roundtable sessions, you’ll choose from several pre‑selected topics. You can share what’s worked for you, ask for advice, suggest resources, and learn from other parents’ experiences. Or you can just listen from the back of the room! There are lots of ways to participate, and an invitation to come as you are.

Where will it be held?

The event will be held at Untapped Learning, 555 Burbank St Unit M, Broomfield, CO 80020. It is near 287 and 36. We’ve reserved the space for the afternoon.

Is the space disability accessible?

The venue is wheelchair‑accessible, and each discussion will take place in its own room to reduce noise overload. A quiet‑room/relaxation space is also available for anyone who needs a break. If you have additional accessibility requirements, please let us know in the form below and we’ll work with you to arrange the necessary accommodations.

Can kids attend?

This is an adult-only event (babes-in-arms welcome). If you are a single parent or otherwise need to bring an older child with you, contact marni@wanderingbrightly.com to discuss options—we want to make it work for you to attend!

Can I come for part of the time—arriving late, or leaving early?

Yes.

Who is organizing this event?

Marni Kammersell, the admin team of Boulder Area Homeschoolers, and a volunteer group of local homeschooling parents.

Do I have to be a current homeschooler or live in Boulder?

This event is open to all parents, whether you’re currently homeschooling or just exploring the idea. While the event is based around the Boulder Area Homeschoolers community, we welcome anyone from nearby areas who would like to join us!

What will the ticket cost go towards and is it refundable?

We’re grateful for your support! Your event fee goes toward refreshments, supplies, and the work of our volunteer team. Tickets are transferrable to a friend but non-refundable.
